Photocell sensors are used as an automated switch which work based on the exposure levels of light - they turn on automatically when surrounding light levels low (night time) are and turn off automatically when surrounding light levels are high (day time).
V-TAC's new streetlights with photocells are not only automated, but they also have a lifespan of about 30,000 hours which amounts to low maintenance costs and less manpower required.
Furthermore, this model allows for adjustment of lux levels (the amount of luminescence over a certain area), catering for desired light levels in different areas.
